The year and a half I spent as a gameplay designer on the multiplayer team at Naughty Dog was focused around prototyping new and novel gameplay systems for a third person competitive shooter. I can't go into too much detail since much of this work has went unreleased, but some responsibilities I had were:
- Pitching ideas for game direction, systems, and mechanics
- Designing and implementing:
- Player ability prototypes
- Inventory management, weapon switching and other HUD/UI systems
- Game modes and mechanics
- Run-time procedural NPC combat encounters
